Description

Dr. King called her the most important person in the movement. Most people have never heard her name. Septima Clark built the Citizenship Schools that trained nearly every major civil rights organizer. She taught people to read so they could register to vote, and she did it county by county, year by year, when that act alone could get you killed. She was fired from her teaching job for belonging to the NAACP. She kept going. "Mother of the Movement" is not a tribute. It is a correction of the record. Wear her name because she should not still be a secret.

Unisex fit, true to size, XS–5XL. 100% ring-spun cotton (heather colorways are a cotton/poly blend). See the size chart for measurements.
